Who We Are

Peace of Mind Senior Day Center is located in Mansfield, Texas, where we serve the elderly, especially those with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other memory related Issues. Ebony Wimberly is the founder and owner of the center. Ebony moved from Maryland to Mansfield in 2021 during the height of the pandemic. Shortly after, within the same year, Ebony had to move her mom from South Carolina to Texas, where she took on the role of full-time caregiver. Ebony knew her mom would not do well in an assisted living home, so, she started researching Senior daycare centers that offered a full day program in Mansfield, Texas, that not only specialized in Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other memory related Issues, but also focused on socializing the elderly. Ebony saw that there was a need for quality eldercare in the Mansfield area, which ignited the vision for Peace of Mind Senior Day Center. At Peace of Mind Day Center, it is our belief that everyone deserves a life with meaning and purpose.

Our Philosophy

At Peace of Mind Senior Day Center, we believe that seniors with dementia and Alzheimer’s do better in an environment that includes peer to peer socialization, structured activities, exercise and healthy meals. We also realize the need for caregivers to have time away to take care of their own needs.

Who We Serve

Our Center services people with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other related memory issues. We provide a non-clinical setting where those in the earlier stages can enjoy a day with a group of their peers much like themselves. The following enrollment criteria has been established.

Should be at least 55 years of age with either a diagnoses of dementia and/or socially compatible with individuals with memory impairment.
Must be able to ambulate independently or mobile with the assistance of a walker, cane and/or staff. Wheelchairs are not permitted.
Must be able to participate and benefit from the center’s programs.
Must be able to use the restroom on their own with daily restroom reminders.
