This didn’t start with a business plan. It started with a search—a search for a safe, welcoming place where I could take my mother during the day while I worked.
But there was nothing nearby. I live in Mansfield, and the closest adult day care I could find was in Arlington, Texas. And even then, none of the options felt right. I couldn’t imagine leaving my mom in a place that didn’t feel like home.
Meanwhile, I was working a demanding 9-to-5 job and caring for her around the clock. The weight of both roles became overwhelming. I started feeling the effects—not just emotionally, but physically and mentally. Something had to give. A nursing home wasn’t an option, and I refused to settle for less than my mother deserved.
So I made the hard decision to walk away from a six-figure career—not because I had a safety net, but because I had a calling. I took what I had and built the kind of place I had been looking for all along: a senior day center rooted in compassion, community, and care.
This center was born out of love, sacrifice, and the belief that aging with dignity should be a right, not a privilege.
Every senior deserves to be treated with dignity and kindness—not just cared for, but truly seen and heard.
Families should never have to choose between their well-being and the care of their loved ones. Support is not a luxury—it’s essential.
Caregiving is a shared journey that requires patience, empathy, and understanding. We walk alongside families, not just serve them.
A day center should feel like home—a place of comfort, joy, and connection, not just a facility.
Real care comes from real relationships. We build trust by listening first and acting with heart.
Life doesn’t stop when you age. We encourage seniors to stay engaged, active, and fulfilled every day.
At Peace of Mind Senior Day Center, we’re a social day center, a cozy, welcoming place where seniors can make new friends, share stories, and spend time with others, especially those who understand the journey of memory changes. We focus on creating a warm, supportive environment where every senior feels valued, connected, and right at home.
To keep our community safe, happy, and thriving, we kindly ask that participants meet the following guidelines:
Be at least 55 years old and experiencing challenges related to aging — including mild memory loss, early cognitive decline, or a desire for social connection and engagement.
Be able to move around independently or with the support of a walker, cane, or assistance from our team.
Wheelchair users are welcome if accompanied by a full-time caregiver.
Be able to participate in and benefit from the center’s group programs and activities.
Be able to use the restroom independently or with assistance from staff as needed.
Be able to feed themselves, with staff available to assist with cutting food if necessary.
At Peace of Mind Senior Day Center, we proudly serve seniors who aren’t ready for a nursing home but can no longer be left alone safely during the day.
Our center offers enriching programs and thoughtful care that help seniors stay active, connected, and uplifted throughout the day. From engaging conversations to creative activities, we ensure every moment is filled with purpose and joy—giving families the reassurance that their loved ones are in kind, capable hands.
